Web Service Documentation
This page describes the Fuel Surcharge Index SOAP-based Web Service, its methods, and its objects. The Web service supports both SOAP 1.1 and 1.2 implementations and is run on the Microsoft .NET 4.0 platform.

The Web service requires authentication. Username, password, and company code are sent within the FuelSurchargeRequest object. These will be emailed to you.
Whenever you need to, be sure to use margin utilities to keep things nice and tidy.

Fuel Date Disclosure
The fuel price data used for an analysis are prices finalized at 11:50 PM the day before the date requested. For example, if you send in August 20th as the requested fuel date, the engine uses prices finalized at 11:50 PM on August 19th.
Location Support
The Web service has comprehensive support for most Canadian and U.S. locations. It also supports major cities and roadways in Mexico. If there is a location that does not show up in our database during routing, you can submit it to us for inclusion in our custom location file or submit it as a lat/lon pair instead.
